Explore the world of sports journalism with "New York Cares" and learn another side of the athletic world. Develop your writing, interviewing, and photography skills and attend sporting events with volunteers. The program runs twice a month. The first session of this program will be focused on the design of the blog site and elements that you want to include in your blog, as well as expectations for the program and what you would like to achieve. After this first meeting, we will alternate between attending a sporting event in the city (college, professional, and larger events included) and writing, editing, and publishing your pieces with the assistance of adult volunteers. At the end of the year, you will have a functioning blog site that you can share with your peers, friends, and families. This program runs from October through May on Saturdays, twice a month. Regular attendance is strongly encouraged for the year.

"So, if you're a sports fan, like writing and/or photography, HURRY and sign up!! Meet me in Room 245 at 3:30 on Tuesday, September 24th. Our first meeting is on Saturday, October 5th."
Terry
