Tuesday, January 19, 2016, 5:30pm – 7:00pm - Each month we have workshops for parents. The next is Responding to Challenging Behaviors. Learn how to identify different challenging behaviors and strategies for responding to them. Through discussion and role-playing, participants will analyze different scenarios and practice techniques for successfully responding.
Tuesday, January 26-Friday, January 29 – Winter Regents Examinations. Students will be given their Regents invitations and should not come to school if they do not have an examination. 9th graders have no exams.
Tuesday, February 2 - Spring Semester commences. Report Cards will be distributed to students.
Monday, February 8 – schools are closed to celebrate The Lunar New Year
February 15-19 - school is closed for Midwinter Recess
Many parents and students consult Inside Schools .org when selecting a high school. We have a new review published last week with new photographs. The review is upbeat and makes our school sound nurturing and attractive – which it is! Check it out – either Google Richard R Green High School Inside Schools or click on this link:
From time to time I take parents into classes so they have a glimpse of what it’s like to be a student and teacher here. Let me know if you would like to join me on one of these visits. I can accommodate your schedule.
On any given day, about 25% of our students are late to school. Please help us by ensuring your child gets to school by 8:30.
